BREEDLOVE WINS CASH
May 28, 2008
ATHENS… It may sound like a slogan out of the 60’s, but it’s not. Roy L. Breedlove of Belpre really did win cash, $25,000 a year for life, after he purchased the Ohio Lottery’s Cash for Life instant game ticket. He filed a claim in the Athens’ regional office yesterday.
The retired pipe fitter from Local 168 in Marietta chose the annuity. After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, yearly Breedlove will receive a check for $17,250.
“I was in the right place at the right time”, he said. “I just purchased one ticket. It was the number 13 on the roll.”
A little in shock, Breedlove said he kept the ticket at home for two days looking at it. He purchased the winner from Par Mar Store #7, 17785 State Route 7 in Marietta.
