ILLINOIS AND NEW YORK PLAYERS SPLIT $17 MILLION JACKPOT

TRENTON , NJ – Players from Illinois and New York have split the $17 million Mega Millions jackpot for the drawing held on Friday, May 23. In addition, two lucky New Jersey Lottery players won the Mega Millions second prize of $250,000. One of the winning tickets was sold in Morris County , and was purchased at 7-11 #11451, located at 198 Route 46 in Rockaway. The other lucky ticket was sold in Middlesex County at 7-11 #39020, located at 2090 Oak Tree Road in Edison . The jackpot now resets to $12 million for the Tuesday, May 27 drawing.
“Congratulations to 7-11 #11451 and 7-11 #39020 ,” said the Lottery's Acting Executive Director William T. Jourdain. “ For selling these tickets, they will each receive a bonus check for $500. They have become two of the Lottery's most recent ‘lucky locations' overnight.”
In addition to the Garden State 's two second-prize winners, 49,844 other New Jersey players took home $329,201 in prizes ranging from $2 to $10,000, according to Jourdain.
The winning numbers for the Friday, May 23 drawing were: 04, 08, 11, 22, and 30 and the Gold Mega Ball number was 04. The Mega Millions jackpot will reset to $12,000,000 for the next drawing, which will be held on Tuesday, May 27 at 11:00 pm on NJN-TV –the New Jersey Network.
