(Baltimore) – Cameras rolled, shutters clicked and squeals of joy filled the room at the Kaiser Pemanente headquarters in Lutherville on Thursday afternoon. WBAL-TV was on hand to capture the moment as the gleeful group of co-workers expressed their thrill at winning the $250,000 second-tier Mega Millions prize from the May 9th drawing.
“I’m going to help with my son’s wedding,” said one winner. “I’m going to Vegas and Hawaii,” added another. “I’m buying gas,” laughed one gentleman. The dreams were myriad, but the sentiments were much the same. Although the 56-way split amounted to approximately $3,000 a piece, the folks on hand were delighted with their share.
Wearing Lottery Mega Millions t-shirts and many donning Lottery caps, the group was all smiles as they posed for pictures and shared their feelings. Praise was given to Greg Holiman, who organized the collection of money and purchased the winning ticket.
Though a couple weeks have passed since the win, their enthusiasm for the Lottery’s Mega Millions dream clearly hasn’t waned as you could hear, “Whoooo, Let Yourself Play,” reverberating through the hallways.
The winning ticket was purchased at F & N Crown, 1521 Merritt Blvd. in Baltimore.
