May 21, 2008
When 30-year-old Joseph A. Barre' of Alexandria redeemed a $2 prize from a scratch-off, he had no idea that he would be heading to the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's Alexandria office to claim an $11,000 top prize on a Fire 'N' Dice ticket. He had purchased the Fire 'N' Dice ticket with his original $2 prize.
Barre' purchased his winning ticket at Hilgers Texaco #4401 on Old Highway 1 in Lena. He said he plans to use his winnings to pay bills.
Fire 'N' Dice is a $2 scratch-off ticket that features three remaining top prizes as of May 18 and the chance to win up to 10 times.
