INDIANAPOLIS – Elizabeth Whittaker of South Bend claimed $205,000 from Lottery Headquarters today after playing Mix & Match Friday night. The winning numbers were: 3, 13, 17, 38 and 40.
"I got it," Whittaker said to her sister. "I hit the big jackpot. My sister didn't believe it, until I told her we had to go to Indianapolis!"
Whittaker purchased her winning ticket from Speedway #6620 at 1706 South Bend Avenue in South Bend. She is an employee at The Morris Inn, on the campus of Notre Dame University.
"I called work and told them to give me a vacation day for Monday," said Whittaker. "I'll see you on Tuesday!"
Whittaker plans to do some work on her home and help her grandson.
"He's the only grandson I've got," said Whittaker.
Tracy Reyes of East Chicago claimed $100,000 from the Hoosier Lottery on Friday, May 16 after playing Scratch-off game Viva Las Vegas.
The Lake County resident purchased her winning ticket from Mobil Columbus at 2220 E. Columbus Dr. in East Chicago, the same location that Hoosier Lotto winner Peter Gilbert purchased his winning Lottery ticket last November.
"Thank you Hoosier Lottery!" said Reyes. She plans to work on her home and possibly take a trip.
Ronald Mahon of Bluffton claimed $50,000 from the Hoosier Lottery on Friday May 16 after playing Scratch-off game $500,000 Riches.
"My wife thought I was lying," said Mahon, the owner of RG Mahon Construction in Bluffton.
Mahon purchased his winning ticket from Lassus Handy Dandy #44 at 100 West US Hwy 6 in Ligonier.
