COLUMBIA, SC – A Florence woman is taking her $200,000 Powerball® win in stride. The player, who chooses not to be identified, plans on investing the bulk of her winnings and remodeling her home with the rest.
The Florence resident missed winning the Saturday, May 10, $20 million Powerball® jackpot by one number. “I’ve been playing Powerball® for a couple of years. I don’t play the same numbers, I just pick what feels right at the time,” the player said. “It turned out pretty good this time!”
The winner purchased her lucky ticket at Smokers Express #3240 in Florence. Another winning ticket for the May 10 Powerball® drawing, worth $400,000, was sold at A & J Grocery in Lynchburg. That ticket has also been claimed.
The winning white ball numbers were 7, 18, 30, 41, and 45. The red Powerball® was 6 and the PowerPlay® multiplier selected was 2. The estimated Powerball® jackpot for the Wednesday, May 14, drawing is $26 million.
