BLANCHARD RESIDENT WINS $20,000 PLAYING POWERBALL
May 12, 2008
OKLAHOMA CITY – Bill Mead, a Blanchard resident, won $20,014 on May 10 playing Powerball with Power Play. He doesn’t have any immediate plans for his winnings other than enjoying a nice meal while out on the town.
Mead purchased his winning ticket at Love’s Travel Stop at 1326 S. 4th in Chickasha. He has been playing the Lottery twice a week since its launch and chooses his numbers through Easy Pick.
“We found out on Saturday that we won and we were just in shock.”
Mead matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball number. Since he selected the Power Play option Mead doubled his prize to $20,014 for an extra dollar.
