Moncton (N.B.) – William Mason of Saint John, N.B. has claimed a prize of $10,001,693.30 from the Friday, May 2 LOTTO Super 7 draw.
Accompanied by members of his family, William drove to Moncton on Saturday night and came to Atlantic Lottery headquarters on Monday afternoon to claim his prize, was very happy about his good fortune.
“It’s taking time to sink in and I really don’t know what I’m going to do with the money,” he said. “This windfall is going to be very positive for my childrens’ future and I’m very happy about that.”
William, who has been playing the lottery for over 20 years, discovered his win after checking the numbers manually. “I had to check a few time before I realized I had won.”
The Bayside Petro, of Saint John, N.B. sold the winning ticket. It will receive a $100,016.93 seller’s prize, representing one per cent of the winnings.
