HE STOPPED TO BUY A SODA AND ENDED UP WINNING $100,000

Jeffrey Bowser of Woodbridge didn’t have to leave Virginia to be a big Vegas winner. He played the Virginia Lottery Scratcher game Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas and won the top prize of $100,000!
“I didn’t think it was true,” he told Lottery officials when he claimed his prize. “It’s a good thing.”
Mr. Bowser bought the winning ticket at Handy Dandy Market, located at 13316 Occoquan Road in Woodbridge, when he stopped on his way home from work to buy a soda. The construction worker said he plans to put his winnings into savings.
Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas is one of more than 50 Scratcher games offered by the Virginia Lottery. There are currently three top-prize tickets in this game remaining to be bought and scratched.
