LINCOLN MAN WINS $10,000 POWERBALL PRIZE

Kent Nelson of Lincoln recently won $10,000 playing Powerball from the Nebraska Lottery.
Nelson is a regular Nebraska Lottery Lotto player who purchases tickets every week. For the Saturday, April 26, drawing, he purchased a single-play quick pick ticket at Git 'N Split, 345 West O Street in Lincoln. The ticket contained four of the five winning white ball numbers (7, 12, 17, 27, 45) and the Powerball number (24) for a prize of $10,000.
Nelson wasted no time claiming his prize, arriving at Nebraska Lottery headquarters on Monday morning following the drawing. He told Nebraska Lottery officials that he “had a good feeling” about the quick pick numbers he had purchased for April 26. Nelson learned he had won after checking the winning numbers in the Lincoln Journal Star newspaper. At first he thought he had won $100, but after visiting the Nebraska Lottery web site, nelottery.com, Nelson realized he had won $10,000. He plans to pay bills and complete some home improvements using his winnings.
