$10,007 POWERBALL PRIZE FOR OMAHA WOMAN

Louise Rownd of Omaha recently won a total of $10,007 playing Powerball from the Nebraska Lottery.
There were more than 18,000 Nebraska Lottery Lotto winners in the Saturday, April 26, drawings. One of these winners was Rownd, who purchased her winning Powerball ticket at Hy-Vee Gas, 17901 Welch Plaza in Omaha. The ticket contained three plays. One play on the ticket contained four of the five winning white ball numbers (7, 12, 17, 27, 45) and the Powerball number (24) for $10,000.
Another play on the ticket contained three of the winning white ball numbers for $7, making Rownd’s total win $10,007.
While claiming her prize on April 28, Rownd told Nebraska Lottery officials that she and her husband have played Powerball for several years using the same combination of numbers. Rownd learned of her win after returning to Hy-Vee to purchase tickets for the next Powerball drawing. She plans to pay bills using her winnings then save the remaining amount.
One hundred and eighty-two Nebraska Lottery players have won the $10,000 prize in Powerball to date. The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1 in 584,432 while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 36.61.
