Boise – Jim Wells, Nampa, heard a phrase today that many American Idol hopefuls have longed to hear, “Welcome to Hollywood!” As part of a second chance draw promotion for the scratch game American Idol, the Idaho Lottery announced Wells as the winner of an all expense paid trip to Hollywood to see the live season finale of this year’s American Idol TV Show!
Pending final verification by the Lottery, Wells was one of over 6,500 entrants who submitted three non-winning American Idol scratch tickets through the Lottery’s website between January 7, 2008 and May 2, 2008 at noon Mountain Time for a chance at the trip. As the trip winner, Wells has until 1 PM Mountain Time on Monday, May 5, 2008 to verify their claim with the Lottery. If Wells does not claim the trip, the Lottery will select an alternate winner.
As the prize winner, Wells receives a five-day, four-night trip to Los Angeles worthy of a rock star! Valued at $7,000, the trip includes round-trip airfare for two to Los Angeles, four night’s accommodations at the luxurious Renaissance Hollywood Hotel and Spa, and two tickets to both the live Finals Competition show and the live Season Finale of American Idol. Wells also wins $1,000 cash.
Lottery players still have a shot at winning $25,000 from an upcoming second chance draw for the American Idol scratch game. The $25,000 winner will be announced after the American Idol scratch game has been declared a sell-out. All trip entries along with any new entries collected by the Lottery will be eligible for the second chance draw prize. To be eligible for the $25,000 prize, players must enter three non-winning American Idol scratch tickets.
