LOCUST GROVE MAN WINS $52,000 IN WIN FOR LIFE GAME

Wilbert Brown Jr. of Locust Grove was sitting at his computer, checking the winning numbers for the previous night’s Win For Life Drawing. That’s when he made a shocking discovery.
“As I went down the list, the numbers kept popping up,” he said. “I couldn’t believe it.”
Those numbers that kept “popping up” were winning numbers that his ticket matched for the April 16, 2008, drawing. By the time he finished circling those winning numbers on his ticket, he had won $52,000.
Mr. Brown matched five of the first six numbers plus the Free Ball number. The winning numbers for that drawing were 1-17-20-30-32-35 and the Free Ball number was 4.
He purchased the ticket at Bloom, located at 36127 Goodwin Drive in Locust Grove. He selected his own numbers. Mr. Brown, who is a retired federal worker, told Lottery officials he intends to put his winnings into savings.
