CROSSWORD WINNER CLAIMS PRIZE

Angela Waldron of Billings has claimed a top prize in one of the Lottery’s Crossword games, Crossword Replay. Waldron bought her winning ticket at Town & Country Supply, a convenience store on Hilltop Road in Billings.
“I’ve had it safely hidden for a couple weeks,” she said. Angela explained that when she scratched the ticket and discovered it was worth $10,000, her husband, Dennis, was in California. When Dennis got back, Angela left for California. One of their sons is a Marine stationed in California.
Dennis said Angela called him and he thought she said she won $2,000. “She couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t more excited.” Later, Dennis understood that the prize was actually $10,000. “That’s a bit more money!” he said.
Angela said their first plan is to pay some bills, and help out their two sons. “They both have young families. They can use a little help right now,” she said. And Dennis added, “We’re going to take a little of it and just have fun.”
