NEW LONDON MAN UNCOVERS $10,000
April 23, 2008
A New London man uncovered a $10,000 prize on a Missouri Lottery “Lifetime Riches” Scratchers ticket two days after his 63rd birthday. Daniel “Danny” St. John said he only bought one Scratchers ticket at Ayerco, 1208 Mark Twain in Hannibal, on April 18. When he scratched it later at home, he was surprised to see it was worth $10,000.

“They were out of the ticket I wanted, so I bought that one (Lifetime Riches),” he said.

St. John, who is retired, said he plans to use his prize money to buy his sister and brother-in-law a new couch, and sent some money to his two granddaughters for their savings accounts. He said he may also go to Vermont, where he used to live, this to visit some friends.
