$10,000 POWERBALL PRIZE PURCHASED IN LAPLACE SET TO EXPIRE MAY 26
April 28, 2008
As of today, no one has stepped forward to claim a $10,000 Powerball prize from the Nov. 28, 2007 drawing. The winning ticket was purchased at Danny & Clyde's Food Store #11 on Newport Drive in LaPlace and is set to expire May 26, 2008.

The winning numbers for the Nov. 28 Powerball drawing were 08-23-32- 37-39 and the Powerball was 38. The unclaimed winning ticket matched four of the white ball numbers and the red Powerball number.

The holder of this winning ticket has until 5 p.m. on May 26 to claim the prize, which is subject to federal and state withholding taxes. Prizes greater than $600 may be claimed at any of the Lottery's five regional offices located throughout the state or at Lottery headquarters in Baton Rouge.

"We look forward to the winner coming forward to claim the prize. In the meantime, the individual should treat the ticket as cash," said Lottery President Rose Hudson. "It is also a good idea to sign the back of the ticket for security purposes."

Winners of the Lottery's draw-style games must claim their prize within 180 days of the drawing. After prizes have passed their redemption deadline, they are deposited into the Lottery's unclaimed prize fund, which is returned to players in the form of increased payouts on scratch-off tickets and player promotions.
