ATLANTA – A Norman Park house painter could splash around colors of green to celebrate a $1 million lottery win. Kay Lowry, who will celebrate her 53rd birthday on Sunday, played the instant game The Georgia Lottery's Millionaire Mania.
She purchased her winning ticket at Quik Mart #0022, 2720 First Ave. in Moultrie.
"I just didn't have any kind of feeling," she said. "I started crying and shaking."
She shared the good news with her sister.
"She was crying too," Lowry said. "She couldn't believe it and neither could I."
A mother of one adult son and one granddaughter, Lowry said she plans to pay off bills and buy a new car.
"I'll also help out my son," she shared. "I wasn't expecting this, so I'm happy."
