PENNSYLVANIA RESIDENT PURCHASED TICKETS FOR CO-WORKERS

TATAMY, Northampton County – Six of Pennsylvania’s newest Powerball winners are Alpha Borough, New Jersey, employees. One of the six winners, Dean Olah, lives in Tatamy, Northampton County.
The group, nicknamed “Jokesters Wild from Alpha Borough,” is sharing a $200,000 second-tier Powerball prize from the March 15 drawing, which offered a $276.3 million jackpot.
Pennsylvania Lottery officials presented a ceremonial check to members of the group today at Herman’s Service Center in Tatamy. The store received a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
According to Olah, who typically buys the Powerball tickets for the group, when a Powerball jackpot rolls to about $50 million, each of the six co-workers contribute $5 to purchase tickets.
In addition to Olah, the group includes: George Cupon and Charles B. Olah of Alpha, NJ; Virginia Hanisak of Stewartsville, NJ; Ronald Hart of Asbury, NJ; and Paul Hager of Bloomsbury, NJ.
