PA LOTTERY LAUNCHES MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL™ INSTANT GAME AT BALLPARKS STATEWIDE

MIDDLETOWN - The Pennsylvania Lottery is celebrating the launch of its new Major League Baseball TM instant game, featuring the Philadelphia Phillies® and Pittsburgh Pirates®, by hosting events at several baseball stadiums across the commonwealth.

Beginning Thursday and continuing through June 23, Lottery officials will give a free, $5 Major League Baseball instant ticket to the first 50 people, age 18 and older, who visit each event.

Lottery-age fans will also have the opportunity to see how fast they can throw at a speed pitch game and have their picture taken with a cardboard cutout of Gus, the second-most famous groundhog in Pennsylvania, in his PA Lottery baseball uniform.

The PA Lottery’s Major League Baseball instant game promotion will take place at the Philadelphia Phillies’ and Pittsburgh Pirates’ stadiums, in addition to the 10 professional baseball stadiums in the commonwealth. The events will begin as soon as the front gates open:

• Thursday, April 3: Philadelphia Phillies, Citizens Bank Park, 1001 Pattison Ave., Philadelphia
• Saturday, April 19: Scranton Wilkes-Barre Yankees, PNC Field, 235 Montage Mountain Road, Moosic, Lackawanna, County
• Friday, April 25: Pittsburgh Pirates, PNC Park, 115 Federal St., Pittsburgh
• Saturday, May 3: York Revolution, Sovereign Bank Stadium, 5 Brooks Robinson Way, York
• Sunday, May 4: Harrisburg Senators, Commerce Bank Park, City Island, Harrisburg
• Wednesday, May 7: Lancaster Barnstormers, Clipper Magazine Stadium, 650 North Prince St., Lancaster
• Friday, May 9: Reading Phillies, FirstEnergy Stadium, 1900 Centre Ave. (Route 61 South), Reading
• Monday, May 19: Erie Seawolves, Jerry Uht Park, 110 E. 10th St., Erie
• Saturday, May 24: Washington Wildthings, Consol Energy Park, One Washington Federal Way, Washington
• Friday, June 20: Altoona Curve, Blair County Ballpark, 1000 Park Ave., Altoona
• Saturday, June 21: State College Spikes, Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, 112 Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, University Park, Centre County
• Monday, June 23: Williamsport Crosscutters, Bowman Field, 1700 W. 4th St., Williamsport

The Major League Baseball instant game, on sale March 25, offers 10 top prizes from $50,000 to $100,000 cash and more than $20 million in total cash prizes. Through a second-chance drawing, players will also have a chance to win one of 10 “Dream Prize” packages (a $10,000 value) and 3,300 second-place Major League prize packages featuring authentic Major League Baseball merchandise.
