FRASER LAKE MINER STRIKES OLYMPIC HOCKEY GOLD!

March 17, 2008 – British Columbia Lottery Corporation is pleased to announce the winner of the SportsFunder Gold Medal Hockey promotion. Stacy Reynolds of Fraser Lake, B.C. is one of the first people in the world to secure tickets to the men's gold medal hockey game at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
"It feels good. I'm telling everybody," enthused the 37-year-old miner, who plans to take his wife with him to the game.
Stacy received tickets as the winner of one of two top prizes of the SportsFunder Gold Medal Hockey promotion. The promotion ran from January 7 to February 10, 2008. During the contest, players who spent $5 on SportsFunder Interactives (available exclusively online on PlayNow on bclc.com) or SportsFunder 50/50 were eligible to enter to win tickets for the gold medal hockey game.
"Hockey and amateur sports are close to the heart of our community and we're excited that one of the first people in the world to win tickets to this tremendous Olympic event is from Northern B.C.," said John Rustad, MLA for Prince George-Omineca.
Currently, the only way to win tickets to gold medal hockey games in 2010 is by playing the SportsFunder Gold Medal Hockey Instant Win, which features 100 pairs of gold medal hockey tickets and top cash prizes of $75,000. SportsFunder lottery games are available at lottery retailers throughout B.C.
