EXCITING MORNING PROVES PROFITABLE – WICHITA RESIDENT WINS $10,000

TOPEKA, KAN. – Warren and Kathlene Krueger of Wichita had quite an exciting morning today. The Wichita couple, who own and operate a security company, not only helped Wichita Police apprehend four robbery suspects but won a $10,000 top prize playing a $1 Double Doubler instant scratch ticket.
“We were at a convenience store this morning a little after midnight,” explained Kathlene. “We stopped to get a drink and decided to buy $15 worth of $1 tickets. Out of those tickets, we won $5, but before we were able to cash in the ticket for more, we got a call from one of the properties we do security for stating there were cars being robbed and vandalized, so we had to leave. Once we helped get the suspects into custody, we went back to the store and cashed in our $5 winner. We bought five more $1 Double Doubler tickets and were stunned when we won $10,000.”
According to Warren, they like to play instant scratch tickets every chance they get.
“This is the first time we’ve won anything this big,” said Warren. “We’re going to try and hit the Powerball tonight.”
Kathlene and Warren, who have three children and three grandsons, own and operate Keazac, Inc. Keazac provides security in Kansas, Minnesota, and South Dakota. They plan to use part of their prize money to pay bills.
“I’m also taking Kathlene to Helzberg Diamonds, so she can pick out something nice.”
The winning ticket was purchased at QuikTrip 320, located at 1021 W. 31st St. S, in Wichita.
