POWERBALL JACKPOT LEAPS TO $133 MILLION; $600,000 POWER PLAY PRIZE WON!

The jackpot in America’s favorite lottery game continues to get bigger and bigger. Even though the grand prize was not awarded Saturday evening, 1 lucky ticket in Oklahoma matched all 5 white numbers with the Power Play and won a whopping $600,000 cash! Nine other winners matched all 5 white numbers for $200,000. These lucky tickets were purchased in Arizona (1), Connecticut (1), Kentucky (1), Louisiana (1), Missouri (1), North Carolina (1), New Mexico (1), and Pennsylvania (2). In addition, 695,813 tickets across the nation won a total of $7,329,977 in prizes.
Because no one correctly matched all six numbers in Saturday’s drawing the jackpot will grow to an estimated $133 million!
The cash option for the Wednesday, February 27th drawing will be an estimated $65.1 million.
The numbers drawn Saturday night were 8, 13, 23, 29, 47 and the Powerball was 32. The Power Play multiplier was 3.
Other prizes won Saturday evening included thirty-seven tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. Eight additional tickets that won at this prize level also wisely purchased the Power Play and had the $10,000 winnings multiplied by 3 to $30,000!
A total of 115,579 winning Powerball tickets multiplied their prizes by 3 Saturday. Players were able to do that by purchasing the Power Play option for one dollar. With Power Play you multiply your Powerball winnings from 2 to 5 times, except for the jackpot. At the beginning of each drawing a wheel is spun to select that night’s multiplier.
Players should carefully check their tickets after every draw. Even if there are no jackpot winners there are always tens of thousands of winners at other prize levels.
Players purchased $30,740,965 in Powerball and Power Play tickets between Thursday and Saturday night.
