POPULAR TRIPLES DRAWN IN THE DAILY NUMBER MID-DAY GAME

MIDDLETOWN - Pennsylvania Lottery players whose favorite Daily Number is 3-3-3 can count on a little extra money following Friday’s mid-day drawing.
The payout to Daily Number game players for the Feb. 8 mid-day drawing totaled $1,916,875, more than five times the amount players wagered. A total of 7,717 tickets were sold for the winning number combination. A 50-cent wager on the Daily Number pays $250; a $1 wager pays $500.
Triple threes have been drawn a total of 11 times since The Daily Number drawing began in March 1977. The last time 3-3-3 was drawn was June 14, 2007, in the nighttime draw. The Jan. 14, 2008, nighttime draw is the last time any triples combination, 5-5-5, was drawn. This is the second time a triple has been drawn as the winning Daily Number this year, taking into account both mid-day and evening drawings.
