“Yes! Yes!” Was Kelsey Steele‘s reply to the question of would she like to receive a complimentary, commemorative winner‘s photo. It was a resounding affirmative response. “I want everyone to see the picture. I want everyone to know I won!”

Kelsey, who was accompanied by her mother, received her complimentary photo, and a prize check of $10,000 for her big Powerball® win.

Kelsey played two sets of Quick Pick numbers, a $2 ticket. She won her big prize when she matched four of five numbers, plus the power ball, in the first set of numbers. She bought her winning ticket at Spruce Street Market, in La Grande.

Kelsey wouldn’t stop smiling while celebrating her big win. When asked what plans she had for her prize money, Kelsey, after a quick glance to mom, said, “My mom and I think it’s best to set it aside for school.”
