Washington, D.C. – Two D.C. Lottery players are on a roll as they won cash with the D.C. Lottery and Charitable Games Control Board’s Roll Me The Money second chance drawing.
First prizewinner Raymond Lewis of Southeast, Washington, D.C. won $5,000 in the second chance drawing. “My wife and I couldn’t believe it,” Lewis said. His wife, who describes him as being a very generous person, said, “He helps a lot of people. He deserves this money.” Lewis said he will use his winnings to buy Christmas gifts for his family.
Northwest, Washington resident Karl Malone, who won the second place prize, was ecstatic about winning $3,000. “I am very happy… overwhelmed with joy! I checked the website numerous times and was really surprised to see my name!” Malone is a caterer at the Washington Hospital Center and plans to put his winnings towards bills.
