On a day when the Lottery announced its Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle game, the best chance ever at winning one million dollars, the Lottery confirmed that a Powerball ticket from the Halloween night’s draw worth $200,000 was sold in Franklin County. The winning ticket matched all five numbers but not the Powerball. The winning numbers are 6, 16, 18, 29, 37 and the Powerball was 24.
No one has contacted the Idaho Lottery to claim ownership of the winning ticket.
“We are encouraging all of our players who may have been in the Franklin County area recently to check their tickets carefully,” announced Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. “Too often if a player realizes they have not matched the Powerball they do not check their other numbers. In this case, the winner did match every number but not the Powerball.
The Idaho Lottery has not released the store location that sold the winning ticket. Given the proximity of Franklin County to the Utah border, the Lottery is also encouraging players from Utah to check their tickets.
“About two years ago, we had $200,000 winning ticket from Fish Haven that was never claimed,” added Anderson. “Chances are that person was visiting Idaho and just never checked their tickets.”
