It was a very bad rain storm. Angelia Parker didn’t want to drive in such bad weather, so she pulled over at the Citgo Mart on Ingleside Road in Norfolk. As she waited for the storm to subside, she played the Virginia Lottery’s Cash Club game. When the Norfolk woman scratched her ticket, she discovered she’d won the $150,000 top prize.
“I cried and I couldn’t sleep at all,” she said as she claimed her prize.
She is the first top prize winner in Cash Club, which means two $150,000 winning tickets are unclaimed in the game. The game features prizes ranging from $5 to $150,000.
The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 1,060,800. The odds of winning any prize in Cash Club are 1 in 4.29.
Ms. Parker said her winnings will go to savings and to pay bills. She also said she might take a vacation with her mother.
