Richard Miller, a lifetime resident of Chillicothe, scratched an Illinois Lottery World Class Millions ticket and instantly won $100. “I decided to spend some of my winnings on another World Class Millions ticket and I won $100,000!” he said when he presented his winning ticket at the Lottery Prize Center in Springfield.
Miller, 56, said he buys one an instant ticket each week. He was at home when he scratched his $100,000 winner. “I signed the back of the ticket right away.” He plans to invest his winnings.
The winning ticket was purchased out of the self-service Lottery machine at Beck’s, 615 North 4th Street in Chillicothe. The retailer received $1,000, equal to one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket. World Class Millions is a $30 instant ticket offering three top prizes of $15 million, seven prizes of $1 million, and 20 prizes of $100,000. Two of the $15 million prizes, four of the $1 million prizes, and 11 of the $100,000 prizes have not yet been claimed. For more information, please visit illinoislottery.com.
