Just in time for election season, the DC Lottery launched its You Decide ticket in early March 2016. On the front burner, the $5 scratcher has over $1 million in total cash prizes, two $50,000 top prizes, and a full slate of Second Chance prizes.

The optics for this ticket for this ticket feature two colorful scenes for consideration. One contender recalls political artwork of a nostalgic era while the other offers a more modern new generation pictorial.

This ticket’s campaign hits the stump hard with associated games that can be played for fun and prizes on a variety of social media platforms including #DCIGLandmarks, that invites players to identify iconic and lesser known District landmarks on Instagram. Others, exclusive to the ever-growing contingent of Players Club members, tests players’ knowledge of political trivia and challenges them in a political word find.

On the coattails of the popular $60K Diamonds and Chocolate Cash Giveaway, Second Chance campaign for the You Decide ticket, termed ‘Ballot Box Bonus,’ features eight drawings that will each award ten players prizes of $2,016. Leading up to the ‘October surprise’ for this ticket is that players will ultimately decide the outcome of the Second Chance Grand Prize in a ‘winner take all’ vs ‘shared wealth’ poll to determine whether one winner will receive $201,600, if 20 winners will receive cash prizes of $20,160 or if 100 winners will receive awards of $2,016.

Starting in early September, the grassroots outreach for the You Decide tickets rolls through every ward of the District with a Whistle Stop tour spinning yet another pool of winning opportunities.
