More than 50,000 Arizona Lottery players have won a 5 Card Cash prize during the first two weeks following the launch of the Arizona Lottery’s first-ever combined instant win and draw game on Sunday, October 4.

During the first two weeks of the game’s existence, an average of 4,400 players have won instant and nightly draw cash prizes each day prizes have been awarded. Players can win up to $5,000 instantly and up to $100,000 in the nightly drawing.

Drawings take place every night of the week, except Sunday, at approximately 7:05 p.m. during daylight saving time and 8:05 p.m. the rest of the year.

“Few things make us happier than awarding this many Arizona players with prizes,” said Tony Bouie, Executive Director of the Arizona Lottery. “The number of winners shows how quickly Arizonans have embraced 5 Card Cash and the ability to win both instantly and in a nightly drawing with the same ticket.”

While 5 Card Cash is poker-themed, no card game knowledge or skill is needed to play. In the 5 Card Cash game, five card symbols, from a field of 52 card symbols, are selected via a computer-generated Quick Pick®. Each $2 ticket gives players a chance to win a prize instantly at the time of purchase, if the card symbols on their ticket match a specified winning hand from the instant win prize structure. The same ticket gives players an additional chance to win during the nightly drawing, if the card symbols on their ticket match at least two of the card symbols drawn.

The 5 Card Cash game replaced Weekly Winnings™, which ended after the Friday, October 2, 2015 drawing.

For more information about the new 5 Card Cash instant win and draw game, visit Players must be 21 years or older to purchase or redeem tickets. Winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prize at an Arizona Lottery office or by mail. Overall odds vary by game. All sales are final.
