AIKEN MAN WINS THE LOTTERY FOR THE SECOND TIME IN LESS THAN TWO YEARS
August 7, 2012
An Aiken man has won the Lottery not once, but twice.
He gives all the credit to his wife.
“When my wife passed away, we had a lot of debt,” he shared. “She told me not to worry and that it would be taken care of.”
The first $100,000 he won in April of 2011 paid the bills. Yesterday, 16 months later, he cashed in a winning Super Cash scratch-off for $200,000.
“I’m going to enjoy this one,” he said.
He purchased both winning tickets from Mo Convenience and Tobacco Store at 185 Beaufort St. NE in Aiken.
The odds of winning $200,000 playing $10 Super Cash are 1 in 576,000. As of this release, four top prizes of $200,000 remain in the game.
For selling the claimed ticket, Mo Convenience and Tobacco Store in Aiken received a commission of $2,000.
