WINNING $500,000 BRINGS MIXED EMOTIONS

Winning a top prize on an Ohio Lottery instant game brought mixed emotions for a resident of Akron. Sandra L Mason won $500,000 on Holiday Treasures and she says it is unbelievable, awesome and scary.
“It has the potential to change a lot of things and we want to be reasonable, pay off some debt and invest for retirement,” Mason said.
Saying that the win is too good to be true, Mason receives a check for $345,000 after mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent are withheld,
Mason purchased the ticket from Spee D Foods #21, 2337 S. Main Street in Akron. Spee D Foods receives a $5,000 agent bonus for selling a top prize winning ticket.
