A Wichita resident, who asked to remain anonymous, matched all numbers in last night’s Super Kansas Cash drawing, winning a jackpot prize worth $982,062!  The winning numbers were 08-14-17-22-25 Cash Ball 15.

“I play Super Kansas Cash every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday,” said the winner.  “When I got up this morning, I checked the winning lottery numbers that were in the newspaper.  I circled each number on my ticket as I made a match, and couldn’t believe what I was seeing when I matched my numbers.”

Thinking he must have made a mistake, the winner checked the Kansas Lottery’s website.

“After looking online, I knew there was no mistake,” said the winner.  “I ran into our bedroom and woke up my wife.  She thought I was having a heart attack.”

After explaining he wasn’t having a heart attack, but had won the Super Kansas Cash jackpot, the couple made the trip to the Kansas Lottery headquarters office in Topeka to claim their prize.

“We haven’t told anyone that we’ve won,” said the winner.  “We’re going to tell our family at Christmas.  It will be a nice Christmas surprise.”

The $5 Quick Pick ticket was purchased at QuikTrip 383R, located at 11223 E. Central St. in Wichita.
