WEST PALM BEACH MAN CLAIMS $1 MILLION MEGA MONEY JACKPOT

The Florida Lottery announced that Yamil Bravo, 50, of Wellington, claimed the October 14 MEGA MONEY jackpot of $1 million at Florida Lottery headquarters.
Bravo said he routinely plays Lottery games and was so excited when he discovered he had won that he couldn't stop shaking. In the days between winning the jackpot and traveling to Tallahassee to claim his prize, Bravo hid the winning ticket in different places around his house. "I kept checking to make sure it was still there," said Bravo. "Then later, I would move it to another spot."
Bravo chose the one-time, lump-sum payment option for his winnings, in the amount of $789,029.50. He purchased his winning MEGA MONEY Quick Pick ticket at JVK Enterprises, located at 192 S. State Road 7 in West Palm Beach. The retailer received a bonus commission of $1,000. Total ticket sales for this top prize generated more than $1.2 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.
