TWO MIAMI WOMEN BEAT THE WINTER BLUES BY CLAIMING FLORIDA LOTTERY TOP PRIZES

The Florida Lottery announced that Barbara Horne, 53, and Daisy Reid, 76, both of Miami, claimed top prizes this week at Florida Lottery headquarters. Horne claimed a $1 million top prize in the MILLION DOLLAR HOLIDAY Scratch-Off game and Reid claimed the November 26, 2011, FANTASY 5 top prize of $262,366.95.
Horne choose to receive her winnings in 20 annual payments of $50,000 per year. She purchased her $1 million winning Scratch-Off ticket at Sunset Chevron, located at 6180 Sunset Drive in South Miami. The $10 Scratch-Off game, MILLION DOLLAR HOLIDAY, launched in October, and offers more than $29 million in prizes, including three top prizes of $1 million and over $27 million in cash prizes ranging from $10 to $5,000. One $1 million top prize remains. The overall odds of winning are one in 3.26.
Reid purchased her FANTASY 5 ticket at Miller Exxon, located at 13960 S.W. 56th Street in Miami. Total ticket sales for this top prize generated more than $338,000 for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.
