TWO $20,000 INSTANT TICKET WINNERS
December 5, 2011
The "Black Diamonds" Instant Ticket has made two Rhode Islanders $20,000 richer over the weekend. A gentleman from Cranston purchased his winning ticket at Colbea Enterprises on 1680 Hartford Avenue in Johnston. The other gentleman from Woonsocket purchased his ticket from the Manville Road General on Manville Road. Both have no plans for what they will do with their winnings yet. There are now ten top prizes of $20,000 left.
A $10,000 winning ticket was sold in Friday night’s $75 million Mega Millions drawing. The ticket matched four numbers and the Mega Ball number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. The winner did not purchase the Megaplier feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If the player had opted for Megaplier, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by four, Friday’s Megaplier number, to equal $40,000.
The winning ticket was purchased from the Cumberland Farms on 3377 Post Road in Warwick. The $10,000 prize has yet to be claimed.
