TRANSIT DRIVER SHOWS OFF DANCE MOVES AFTER JACKPOT WIN
July 14, 2011
A very happy Michael Holthuysen literally danced into and out of BCLC's Metro Vancouver office today, and who could blame the 51-year-old part-time transit driver from Vancouver?
After all, he was there to collect a cheque for $500,000.
"I guess I'm just really happy," Holthuysen told BCLC employees. "I haven't stopped smiling since I found out I won."
Holthuysen purchased a lucky 'Double-Dip Quick Pick' ($10 ticket consisting of three Quick Pick selections good for both Lotto 6/49 and BC/49, plus one selection of Extra) at Mac's Convenience store on Denman Street, and matched all four 'Extra' numbers to win the game's half-million dollar jackpot prize.
"When I checked my numbers online I just thought I was dreaming," said Holthuysen. "I'm going to take a leave of absence from work for awhile and do a little bit of travelling."
