THOMSON GRANDMOTHER GEARED TO GET 2011 JEEP
October 11, 2011
A Thomson grandmother is gearing up to get on the rugged road with a new vehicle from the Georgia Lottery. Patricia Mills, 62, played the instant game Jeep Outdoor Adventure and won a 2011 Jeep Compass.
“It has everything I’ve wanted,” she said. “It’s really nice, and it was sitting there waiting on me.”
Georgia Lottery representatives presented Mills with her new Jeep Tuesday at Milton Ruben Motors Inc., 3514 Washington Road in Augusta.
Mills, who works for a sausage casing company, was on her lunch break when she stopped at Rimpys Food Store, 639 Cobbham Road in Thomson, where she purchased the ticket.
“I am excited,” she exclaimed. “I’m still in shock, and I feel like it’s not real.”
Mills has two adult children and three grandsons. She’s awaiting the birth of her first granddaughter in January.
