The Florida Lottery announced that Doris Hastings, 54 of Paisley, claimed the December 20, 2011, MEGA MONEY jackpot of $2 million at Florida Lottery headquarters. Hastings chose the one-time, lump-sum payment option for her winnings, in the amount of $1,628,212.43.
According to Hastings, who frequently plays Florida Lottery games, she won a Scratch-Off prize of $100 in early December, and then days later won a $1,000 Scratch-Off prize. Two weeks later, she became the sole winner of a $2 million MEGA MONEY jackpot! Hastings said she plans to use the money to purchase a house and pay off her vehicle, as well as her son's car.
Paisley Discount Beverage, located at 25220 County Road 42 in Paisley, received a bonus commission of $1,000 for selling the jackpot-winning MEGA MONEY Quick Pick ticket. This ticket marks the 5th jackpot-winning MEGA MONEY ticket purchased in Lake County since the game was changed in January 2004.
