TACOMA WOMAN CLAIMS $10,000 EARLY BIRD PRIZE

Stena Troyer of Tacoma, Wash., has claimed the Montana Millionaire $10,000 early bird prize with a ticket from Big Horn IGA of Hardin, 901 N. Center Ave.
Stena is from Hardin but attending school in Washington. Her dad got Montana Millionaire tickets for her and her brother, intending for them to be surprise holiday gifts. But the surprise was revealed a bit early once he learned Stena’s ticket won the early bird prize.
“I didn’t even know I was playing!” she said. “I think I’ll split the winnings with my brother and put it toward school, and maybe celebrate finals a little bit.”
Stena’s number was drawn from the 26,021 Montana Millionaire tickets sold before the early bird drawing Nov. 25. The Lottery added the early bird prize to the game last year, offering an extra chance to win for players who buy their tickets early.
