STARKE COUNTY MAN WINS $50,000 WITH LUCKY 5

Michael Shei of Hamlet, Ind. is the latest lucky Hoosier to win big playing Lucky 5 from the Hoosier Lottery. Shei matched all five numbers in the Nov. 14 Lucky 5 Evening drawing to win $50,000.
After speaking with a tax advisor, Shei claimed his winnings at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis December 7. He was accompanied by his wife Adena. The pair has two grown children and five grandchildren. Shei, who worked for the railroad for 22 years, says he plans to put his winnings in the bank.
“Winning feels good. We own everything we need. We don’t owe anything,” said Shei. “We’re going to save it.”
Adena Shei agrees that winning feels “real good,” but suggested a different approach to handling winnings when she said, “Let’s go shopping!”
The pair’s lucky quick pick numbers, which were the November 14 Lucky 5 Evening winning numbers, were: 11-16-22-26-31. Michael Shei purchased his lucky ticket at Speedway at 10011 West U.S. Hwy 30 in Wanatah.
