ST LOUIS GRANDFATHER CLAIMS $50,000 SHOW ME CASH PRIZE

A St. Louis man has claimed the Missouri Lottery’s latest Show Me Cash jackpot. Willie Sykes, who purchased the winning ticket at ZX Dunn Road, 3555 Dunn Road in Florissant, matched all five numbers drawn in the Dec. 28, 2011, drawing to win the $50,000 prize.
Sykes’ granddaughter, Mia, indicated that her grandfather was watching the news on television when he saw the report of the evening’s winning Show Me Cash numbers.
“He was very surprised and in disbelief,” she said. “He called us over, and we ran them through Schnucks, QuikTrip and the Internet, just to be sure!”
Show Me Cash offers a rolling jackpot that starts at $50,000 and increases by at least $5,000 at each daily drawing. Sykes’ winning numbers – 4, 16, 20, 31 and 34 – were a Quick Pick selection.
