SPRINGFIELD MAN WINS $100,000 IN HAIL TO THE REDSKINS SWEEPSTAKES

Stephen Long of Springfield is probably a little more partial to soccer than football. He writes for a soccer website and coaches soccer. But he has won big with a football team. He won $100,000 in the Virginia Lottery’s Hail to the Redskins Get to the Game Sweepstakes.
Mr. Long, a retired U.S. Air Force officer, entered non-winning Hail to the Redskins Scratcher tickets in the sweepstakes. The drawing was held December 21, 2011. His ticket was drawn from nearly 160,000 entries.
Seven other Virginia Lottery players won 2012 season tickets to all Washington Redskins games at FedExField. Those winners are:

* Arthur Jones of Alexandria
* Willie Elam of Waverly
* Robin McMillan of Alexandria
* John Bridgers of Conway, NC
* Virginia Farris of Salem
* Fess Khan of Richmond
