SPONTANEOUS IDEA LEADS TO $50,000 LOTTERY WIN

On Nov. 11 Brian Spencer had a “spontaneous idea” to buy a lottery ticket. The Clearwater resident said he didn’t have any real strategy before arriving at Coborn’s/Little Dukes, 705 County Road 75 in Clearwater. After viewing the tickets on display he decided to buy a 20X the Money ticket.
Spencer took the ticket home to play. He revealed a $10,000 win and kept scratching. “I saw another $10,000, another $10,000 and a 20X the money symbol [20 x $1,000 = $20,000] and it was $50,000,” Spencer recalled. “I took a couple of deep breaths” before telling his family about his $50,000 win.
He claimed the prize at Lottery headquarters in Roseville on Dec. 1.
