RETIRED EASLEY COUPLE WINS $200,000 PLAYING PALMETTO CASH 5

An Easley couple’s nest egg got a boost in the New Year.
The pair won $200,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5.
“This has to take us into old age,” the wife said awaiting the check.
She shared with lottery officials how aggravated she was when her husband woke her up at 6:30 in the morning to see the December 28, 2011, Palmetto Cash 5 results (3, 14, 24, 26 and 33) online. She broke down when she realized they won.
Now if their roof goes bad or their car breaks down, they’ll have the cash to take care of unexpected expenses, added the retired couple.
“We’ve been struggling like most retirees,” she said. “We will have no more bills.”
They Powered-Up for an additional $1 and saw their $100,000 winnings doubled to $200,000 when a “2” multiplier was drawn.
“We spent the extra $1 to double our money, and double our fun,” said the husband. “We might splurge and take a trip.”
The odds of winning $200,000 are 1 in 1,003,884.
Citgo in Easley received a commission of $2,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
