OHIO MAN WINS BIG IN RICHMOND

An Ohio man won $50,000 on a Break the Bank Scratch-off that he purchased in Richmond, Ind. over the weekend. Robert Martin of Eaton, Ohio was visiting his fiancé in Richmond when he purchased a $5 Scratch-off that he says is going to dramatically improve his financial situation.
“This has really been a blessing,” said Martin as he claimed his prize at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters.
Martin purchased his winning ticket Sunday afternoon at Speedway at 126 SW 5th Street in Richmond. He wasted no time. He was at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis first thing Monday morning to collect his winnings. The transmission specialist of 40 years was so excited about winning that he did something he almost never does. He missed work.
“I never ever miss work,” said Martin. “When I called my boss to tell him I was going to be late because I was cashing in a winning lottery ticket he laughed and said ‘I wouldn’t be here either.’”
