NORFOLK MAN WINS $250,000 IN MEGA MILLIONS

A winning Mega Millions ticket is enabling Miguel Neto of Norfolk to start the new year $250,000 richer. Mr. Neto matched the first five numbers in the December 9 Mega Millions drawing to win the game’s second prize.
He bought the ticket at the 7-Eleven at 7901 Shore Drive in Norfolk. He used Easy Pick and allowed the computer to select the numbers on his ticket.
The winning numbers for that drawing were 4-12-29-49-51 and the Mega Ball was 44. Had he matched that final number, he would have won a jackpot estimated at $100 million. His ticket was the only one in Virginia to win $250,000 in that drawing, and one of just nine nationwide.
