It’s been said an apple a day is good for your health. For mother and daughter – Mary Zeleski and Marion Springer - three apples in a row meant a healthy $25,000 windfall!
Mary had purchased a $7 VEGAS NIGHTS lottery ticket at the Ashern Pharmacy located on Main Street in her home town.
She scratched the ticket and in game seven, uncovered three apples in a line. Right next to them was the $25,000 prize amount. “I phoned Marion right away to tell her we won,” said Mary. “She didn’t believe me.”
When Marion, who lives in the Faulkner, heard the news, she had to check the SCRATCH ’N WIN ticket herself to believe it. “I went to check the ticket on the self-checker. It was so hard to believe.”
They haven’t yet decided what to do with their winnings, so they will put the prize money in the bank for now.
