MONTEBELLO SCHOOL EMPLOYEES WIN BIG JUST MONTHS AFTER CLAIMING $12 MILLION JACKPOT
January 6, 2012
Last February, you may recall a group of 11 Montebello Unified School District employees who claimed a $12 million SuperLotto Plus prize. Incredibly, not even a year after that win, the same group is now claiming a MEGA Millions prize worth $262,743. Most of the group, which now consists of 16 members, has been playing together for over two years and are a mixture of full-time and part-time clerical workers.
Deanna P., the spokesperson of the group, said that the previous win enabled the group to purchase a new sound system for their school and that they plan to use some of their new winnings on the school as well.
Deanna also said that the Montebello group believes in “three time’s the charm”. With the luck they’ve had already, can you really doubt their chances for a third big win?
The winning ticket was sold at Arrow Liquor, which is located at 2177 South Atlantic Boulevard in Commerce. The ticket matched the numbers 48, 24, 51, 56 and 30, missing only the Mega number of 45.
