MELBOURNE MAN TAKES HOME MEGA MONEY JACKPOT

The Florida Lottery announced that Rudolph Sotelo, 78, of Melbourne, claimed the November 18 MEGA MONEY jackpot of $500,000 at Florida Lottery headquarters. Sotelo chose the one-time, lump-sum payment option for his winnings, in the amount of $401,418.00.
Publix, located at 3200 Lake Washington Road in Melbourne, received a bonus commission of $1,000 for selling the jackpot-winning MEGA MONEY Quick Pick ticket. This ticket marks the 12th jackpot-winning MEGA MONEY ticket purchased in Brevard County since the game was changed in January 2004.
Total ticket sales for this drawing generated more than $311,000 for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.
